Create a checklist with instructions

Updated on

In Outcome, you can create a checklist that has instructions users can unfold.

When would you use this feature? A checklist is really handy, but if your users don't know how to do the checklist line item, they would have to hunt around for instructions. Now, users can go through a checklist and get the instructions right where they need them--underneath the checklist line item.

1. Create a new checklist

1.1. Click on Resources > Add Resource

1.2. Select Checklist > Add a Title > Click Continue

2. Add Checklist Items

Add items to your checklist by entering text and clicking Add Item.

3. Add instructions

After an item is created, click Show instructions. You can include instructions for any checklist item.

You can add images, text, etc. In the example below, I included text with screenshots that walk a user through the steps of creating a new quote.

4. View checklist and instructions in the extension

When your users view the checklist in the extension, they will see arrows to the right of the checklist item.

When they click on the arrow, Outcome will display instructions for performing that action.
