- To create PDFs from the Admin area
- To create PDFs from the end-user view
Possible scenarios:
- Content is not published (articles, chapters, manuals)
- Articles that have permissions assigned to them will not show up in a PDF. The issue is that once you start adding article-specific permissions there is a possibility of more than one PDF per-manual (User A may not have access to the same articles as User B and thus needs a different PDF). Our system is not able to cope with that scenario yet.
- Solution: Remove Permissions, OR copy the manual and create a reference. On the copy, remove all the permissions. Then generate your PDF from the copy of the manual.
In the copied manual, use article aliases so that you only need to update 1 article instead of both. Here is an article on accomplishing this.
